Set your TV to auto-launch

Two things to do once per TV: open Signal automatically on boot, and disable the screensaver / sleep timer. Then your screen stays on 24/7 — even after a power cut.

1. Install Signal
On the TV browser, tap the address bar menu → 'Install app' or 'Add to Home Screen'.
2. Auto-start
Use your TV's boot-app setting to launch Signal automatically on power-on.
3. Disable sleep
Turn off screensaver, auto power-off, and sleep timer in TV settings.
Android TV / Google TVShow
  1. 1.Install a launcher app like 'Launch on Boot' (Android TV) or 'Auto Start' from the Play Store.
  2. 2.Set the app to launch your screen's URL in Chrome on boot.
  3. 3.Settings → Device Preferences → Screen saver → set to 'Off' / 'Never'.
  4. 4.Settings → Device Preferences → Sleep → Never.
Amazon Fire TV / Fire StickShow
  1. 1.Install 'Silk Browser' from the App Store.
  2. 2.Install 'Launcher Manager' or 'Background Apps and Process List' to set Silk as the boot app.
  3. 3.Settings → Preferences → Sleep Mode → set to 'Never'.
  4. 4.Open Silk, navigate to your screen URL, and bookmark it as home page.
Samsung Tizen TVShow
  1. 1.Open the built-in browser and navigate to your screen URL.
  2. 2.Bookmark it and set as the home page.
  3. 3.Settings → General → System Manager → Auto Power Off → set to 'Off'.
  4. 4.Settings → General → Eco Solution → Screen Saver → 'Off'.
LG WebOS TVShow
  1. 1.Open the built-in web browser to your screen URL.
  2. 2.Add to bookmarks and pin to the Home dashboard.
  3. 3.Settings → General → Timers → Auto Power Off / Sleep Timer → 'Off'.
  4. 4.Settings → General → Energy Saving → Screen Off after → 'Off'.
Any TV with HDMI stick / mini-PCShow
  1. 1.Install Chrome or Edge and set the screen URL as the homepage.
  2. 2.Enable kiosk mode: launch with --kiosk "https://your-screen-url".
  3. 3.Disable OS sleep/screensaver in display settings.
  4. 4.Add Chrome to startup apps so it relaunches after power-cycle.
Pro tip — keep the link handy
Each screen has a unique URL (visible on its card in the dashboard). Bookmark it on the TV so you can re-open Signal with one click after any power-cycle.
